What We Do

This service provides a professional family advocate from the Center who is available 24 hours a day to provide crisis intervention to individuals who are at risk of child abuse or are clients who need to talk to someone. The number is 1-800-273-4747.

Children who are reported for suspected child abuse are interviewed using a specific protocol to ensure the process is legally sound, neutral, and of a fact-finding nature.

A state-mandated; education program designed for divorcing parents with children under the age of 18.

Caregivers work through the process of understanding the effects of trauma, developing healthy parenting skills, and invaluable peer support through group therapy.

 

Evidenced-based child abuse prevention program that teaches effective parenting skills and provides support and education in a group setting.

Emergency services to meet basic needs such as food, clothing, medical assistance, school supplies, and crisis intervention.

Evidenced-based therapy is used to address the traumatic effects of child abuse. In addition, support therapy sessions are provided for parents and caregivers.

Provides assistance to children and their caregivers from the onset of disclosure in the forensic interview until services are no longer needed.
 

The Center has volunteers who work with the children (Superfriends) and Parents (Parent Aides) who provide transportation, activity assistance, office help and work to meet other needs of Center Staff (General Service Volunteers).
